A great deal on a unique eco-friendly turle shape sorter

In continuing our eco-friendly Earth Day theme, I came across an EXCELLENT deal on the Boikido Eco-Friendly Tina Turtle Wooden Shape Sorter.

This toy regularly retails for $29.99 and right now you can get it for under $12.00!  What a steal!

Tina Turtle is made from wood that came from an FSC monitored source and has been painted with water based paints.  She has been tested to meet both European and US safety standards.  It is packaged in a box made from recycled materials and it is printed on with soy bean ink.

One side of Tina Turtle accommodates the generic shapes (circle, triangle, square) and the other side has the unique shapes of a carrot, mushroom and lettuce.  All of the shapes are painted with smiling, cheerful faces.

All of the shapes fit for storage inside of Tina turtle.

This toy is recommended for age 18-months and up.

Bright Bamboo Cars

In honor of Earth Day, today I am featuring all eco-friendly toys and clothing.

When I was pregnant with my first child, I got worried.  Worried about all the toxins and chemicals in toys.  Worried that I was going to give my son things that weren't safe and that would poison him.

Just a few years ago there were not nearly as many options for green or eco-friendly toys.  I spend so much time on the Internet researching and calling companies to find out if their toys contained certain chemicals.  It was pretty stressful and sort of sucked the joy out of toy shopping.

I'm happy to see that there is a bigger market now for these types of toys!  Progress is a wonderful thing.

My first featured toy today are the HaPe International E-Racer Cars.

The cars are made of bamboo, a renewable resource, and have a non-toxic finish.  They are shaped nicely for little hands to grasp and they roll easily.

The cars are available in Monza Red, Le Mans Blue and Suzuka Green.

Little Miss Daisy

I love daisies.  They are so fresh and remind me of the outside world finally coming back to life after a long winter.  I like the combination of daisies with blue, the cheerful yellow mixed with the calm of blue.  And polka dots are just so happy.

This is another affordable look for little girls, and it sure doesn't look like it with all these details!

The Youngland Girls daisy polka dot dress in blue is available in sizes 2T through 6X.

The Yellow Polka Dot Ribbon Hair Band Bows Clip is one size, and would be cute with either one or two for pigtails.

The Childrens Pretty Daisy Necklace by Chic Jewellry is lead free and arrives in a gift bag.

The Childrens Pretty Daisy Ring by Chic Jewellry is lead free, adjustable and arrives in a gift bag.

The Cecilia Kids yellow daisy sandals are available in toddler and big kid sizes and are currently on sale for under $8.00.

Give them wings so they can soar!

My kids love to play dress up and pretend.  I am always looking for pieces for their pretend wardrobe, and I fell in love with these Fanciful Bird Wings made by Magic Cabin.

They have shoulder straps and finger tabs, so they will "attach" to your child and they can move the wings.  They feel like they are really flying - or so they say.  They can also be used as pretend angel wings.

They are beautiful and also make a nice photography prop.  They would be nice to keep in a studio.

The wings are available in blue (our favorite), green and yellow and are suggested for ages three and up.

Go ahead, baby, play with your food!

Oh my goodness.  What a great price for the Earlyears Lil Shopper Play Set!

I paid considerably more for this same toy over three years ago at a boutique toy shop.  I actually had a difficult time buying it, because it was a very nice toy, but I had sticker shock.

However, I did get my money's worth out of it, so I can't really complain.  I bought this when my son was a baby and just starting to sit up on his own.  Both of my kids still play with it.  This was one of my favorite diaper bag toys for a long time.  I could keep pulling out something new and interesting when I needed a distraction for them.

The milk carton was my son's favorite piece.  And for a while when he was a baby, it was actually one of his favorite toys in general.  It is vinyl with velcro at the top that makes it so you can open and close it.  Inside is a soft mirror.

His favorite lately (and my daughter's favorite) is the banana.  You can really "peel" it, so they get a kick out of that.

The apple is a sort of nylon material and it has a chime inside of it.

The lettuce crinkles and the orange is a corduroy type material and has velcro on it so you can "open" it and close it.

All of the pieces store nicely inside the grocery bag, which also can graduate to being a bag when they start "going grocery shopping" as they drive off in a little play car in a year or so.

I highly recommend the Earlyears Lil Shopper Play Set.  It is also a very nice baby gift - for either a shower or a congratulations on your new baby gift, or even a first Christmas or holiday.  It is very nice quality and has withstood two babies/toddlers in my home already.  It is still in good condition and if I had a third baby I would let them play with it, too.

This is worth every penny.  Look at how many different toys you are getting for this price!  Fifteen dollars for six quality pieces to keep your baby entertained and stimulated!  That is hard to beat!

Happy shopping, friends!

Pink and blue and afforable, too!

My daughter has been really into the color blue lately, possibly because she is proud of herself that she is excellent at identifying that color, but either way whenever I ask her what color of anything she wants she asks for blue.

So I found this dress while browsing for blue things, and I thought it was very pretty.  And you can't beat the price!  Under ten dollars!

I purposely structured the rest of the outfit to be affordable so it would make sense as a set with this dress.  You can currently get the entire set, including all accessories (the earrings are the most expensive element and a third of the price) for about $63.

The first item in this set is the Girls Blue Flower Print Dress, which comes in sizes 2 - 11.

Next are the Natural Steps Thong Sandals in Fuchsia, which are available in toddler and children's sizes.

After that, you'll want to pick up the Extra Large GrosGrain Bow with Tied Center on French Clip in Bright Pink.

Next, I featured the SilberDream Pink and White Zirkonia, Sterling Silver Flower Charm, which can be used as a necklace pendant or for a charm bracelet.

Lastly, to complete the set, are the the JanKuo Jewelry Silver Tone Pink Cubic Zirkonia Flower Stud Earrings.

The Whittle World where we all live

If you have been following my blog, by this point you probably know a few things we love.

1)  Well made wooden toys

2)  Toys that are open ended and inspire imaginative play

3)  Toys with a timeless feel to them

...just to name a few!

The Melissa & Doug Whittle World toys fit all of the criteria and then some.

We purchased several of the toys from the Whittle World line for our 3-year-old son for Christmas gifts.  They have been a big hit with both him and his sister (who was about 19-months-old during the holidays) and are still played with on a daily basis.

The toys are almost all wood (aside from wheels and tow hooks) and after nearly four months, all of the paint is still intact.  The people store nicely inside the vehicles in their "seats" and haven't been lost.  When we clean up this toy, we put the people in the vehicles to go bye bye.

Today I am featuring the Melissa & Doug Whittle World Plane and Luggage Carrier Set and the Melissa & Doug Whittle World School Bus Set.

The air plane set comes with an airplane (with wings that fold up to make it easier to store), a baggage cart and baggage rack with four different colored pieces of luggage, and five wooden people - which includes the baggage cart driver, a pilot and three passengers. The air plane can be towed by the baggage cart/rack.

The school bus set - one of the favorite toys in our home - comes with a school bus that has a movable stop sign on the side and a door that opens and closes, a "school building" front with a door that can open and close, a bus stop with slots for two wooden people to stand in, and seven wooden people - six children and one adult.  The wooden children are slightly smaller than the adults.

Neither of these toys make any loud noises on their own.  They are very well made for the price point.  They are nice in that you can keep adding on with more sets until you have a real Whittle World for your children to play with.

As with most Melissa & Doug toys, the box comes with suggestions for extending play with the toys into a deeper learning experience.

I highly recommend these for a gift!  They are beautiful toys in person and completely uncontroversial.

Surfer sisters on a stylish adventure

It's my favorite time to shop.  Gymbucks redeeming time!  I splurged a bit more than usual during the earning period (kitty cats... my Achilles' heel), so yesterday it was time for some serious shopping.

Baby girl is size 18-24 months in most clothes at Gymboree in the Baby Girl section and we purchased for her the outfit on the left.  I absolutely adore her in purple, so this dress was a perfect choice.  I also like to get her cardigans to compliment her summer clothes because it gets chilly in the air conditioning.  In my experience the Baby Girl and Baby Boy clothes seem to run a little bigger than some other places like Carters (especially in dresses and in pants/shorts), so keep that in mind as you shop.

The outfit on the left is from the Baby Girl Surf Adventure collection.

The tropical pink Embroidered Koala Cardigan comes in sizes 3-6 months through 5T.  It is 100% cotton, which is another thing I love about Gymboree.  There are so many (most maybe) options that are 100% cotton, and with a daughter with eczema that is a must have.

The purple Orchid Flower Ruffle Dress is made from 100% brushed cotton poplin and comes in sizes 3-6 months through 5T.

The tropical Pink Flower Sandals come in sizes 03 through 10.

The tropical Pink Bow Fruffle is one size and Gymboree usually runs a buy one get one 50% off on hair accessories, as they are right now.

The outfit on the right is from the Girl Surf Adventure collection.

The Tangerine Orange Button Bow Headband is one size and currently a part of the buy one get one 50% off promotion.

The tropical pink Corsage Flower Sandal comes in sizes 8 through 6.

The tropical pink Koala Sunglasses come in sizes 0-2, 2-4 and 4+ and are part of the buy one get one 50% off promotion.

The Faceted Bead Bracelet is one size and part of the buy one get one 50% off promotion.

The Faceted Bead Necklace is one size and part of the buy one get one 50% off promotion.

The amethyst purple Embroidered Flower Gauze Top is  100% cotton gauze and comes in sizes 3 through 12.

The purple orchid floral Bow Flower Skort is 100% cotton rib and comes in sizes 3 through 12.

For the littlest surfer boy

I live at the beach and I have been wearing Quicksilver for over 20 years.  My husband, possibly longer (he is a little older than me).  We both still wear wear it and now our children do, too.  I still love this brand as much as I did when I was in middle school.  It is still quality, well made clothing.  And, the look is turning out to be timeless.  The pieces I bought many years ago still fit in with the pieces being made now.  Makes me feel good about my clothing investment... and also a little proud of myself for taking such good care of my clothes.

I came across this set while searching for items for a baby shower gift for a mommy and daddy to be that are surfers.  I love it.    The colors are great and I love baby clothes that look like big boy clothes.  It doesn't have to be the whole wardrobe, but a few outfits like that here and there are very nice.

The first piece to this set is the Quicksilver Baby-Boys Infant Refresher.  The little hoodie sweat shirt is available from size 6-9 months through size 18 months.  Be sure to select blue, unless of course you'd rather have it in red!

Next, you'll want to pick up the Quicksilver Baby-Boys Infant Loosen Up T-Shirt in black.  The T-Shirt is available from size 6-9 months through size 24 months.

Also pictured is the Quicksilver Baby-Boys Infant Truce hat in blue.  The hat may run a little big, so be aware of this.

Next, I selected the Quicksilver Baby-Boys Infant All-In shorts in black.  They are available from size 6-9 months through size 24 months.

Lastly, I chose the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star OX Kids Shoe in black.  If the little one you are purchasing for is not walking yet, for the crib shoe version try the Converse Chuck Taylor First Star Infants Black Soft Sole.

The giant turtle trampoline

Admit it.  You want to try it.

I don't know who the brilliant person was that thought of making trampolines that float on the water was, but I'm in awe.

We live at the shore, and I can only imagine how much fun my friends and I would have had with this when we were teenagers.  This would have been awesome in the bay, and a boat could have easily towed it from the lagoons or a dock.

This particular item is the Island Hopper Turtle Jump 15 Foot Water Trampoline.  It is fairly pricey at $2,399.00.  However, there is a smaller, similar product that is a more "reasonable" price (how reasonable is it really to purchase a giant turtle water trampoline... I can't really say... I am assuming if you are in the market for this sort of thing you aren't pinching pennies).  You can pick up the Island Hopper Turtle Hop 11 Foot Bounce Platform for $589.99, which is considerably less and probably not substantially less awesome or fun.

Today was our first warm day of the season, and seeing this makes me excited to start shopping for some summer "outdoorsy" toys.

Damask addiction

Hello, I am Sadie's mom, and I am a damask addict.

Some people go for leopard print or zebra print, but for me, damask is irresistible.

I think it looks sharp, fresh and classy.  It gives a level of elegance that I find so appealing.

We have never been disappointed with the quality of Mud Pie's baby clothing.  The clothing has a hand crafted feel to them and they focus on the details.

I have also found that you can get Mud Pie clothing online for a better price than in the department stores!

I love that this set, like many other Mud Pie sets, comes with a matching bib.  When you are going all-out with an outfit for your baby and you want them to look fabulous, especially on a night out on the town, you can't just throw on any old stained and clashy bib!

The Mud Pie Damask Party Dress in black and white comes in sizes 0-6 months through 2T/3T.

The Mud Pie Damask Bloomers in black and white come in size 0-6 months.

The Mud Pie Damask Bib comes in one-size.

The Mud Pie Damask Chiffon Bow Headband with pearl detail is one-size.

The Mud Pie Damask Booties come in size 0-6 months, but may run a little large.

Sweet sundae stacker

My kids love stackers.  They did when they were babies, and they still do at 3 and almost 2-years-old.  We had previously purchased the Fisher Price Brilliant Basics Rock-a-Stack (which is the traditional colored rings most of us remember) and Fisher Price Brilliant Basics Stack and Roll Cups (rainbow colored "cups" that lock together as you stack them into a tower).  Both of those items are still mainstays in our playroom.

When I came across the Ice Cream Sundae Stacker at Grasshopper I got so excited.  I love cute sweets and my children love stackers and cooking.  This toy will be a hit with them, because they will be able to "cook" or "build" a sundae in their play kitchen.  This has made it onto the short list for my daughter's upcoming birthday.

I really like this for a birthday or shower gift.  It is all hand painted wood and it is very unique.  I haven't seen this item anywhere.  It appears that colors may vary on this product, but we love all colors so that doesn't matter to us.

For $18, I think this is a sweet treat for any toddler or mom-to-be and worth picking up!

And, as always, three cheers for any toy that actually looks pretty on our playroom shelves!

Make a feast fit for fairies!

I spend a lot of time researching and comparison shopping when it comes to the toys we buy for our children and as gifts.  The biggest (literally) buying regret that I have was on our play kitchen.  I was on the fence between a wooden kitchen that was smaller in size and a plastic kitchen that was bigger and had more bells and whistles.  Since we have two young children that are close in age and I knew they were going to be playing with it at the same time, I decided to go with the larger sized, plastic kitchen.  I also thought they might be impressed that it made sounds and lit up.  They weren't.

Granted, they play with it every single day, and it is clearly one of their favorite toys.  But, it is sort of an eyesore in my living room and it isn't very well made.  It takes the full force of mommy or daddy to open and close the microwave, the drawers are not attached and just get pulled out and tossed onto the floor, there is almost no counter space and the counter is separated from the back of the kitchen and little plastic tomatoes and slices of cheese fall down the back.  Oh, if I had it to do over...

Seeing this adorable Enchanted Forest Play Kitchen made those pangs of regret resurface.  It is beautiful.  It is so unique.  I have never seen anything like this in anyone's house before.  I know if my kids came across it, they would be enchanted by it's charm.  This would be an excellent toy to have at grandma's house that all the grandchildren would love.  It really is something special, and the kids would know it.

The Enchanted Forest Play Kitchen is available at Chasing Fireflies.

Little girl blue.

I love Janie and Jack.  If I had an unlimited amount of money to spend on baby clothes, I would probably buy at least two sets from each of their collections.  The quality is fantastic, every article of clothing is timeless and classy, and I your child looks picture perfect in everything they have to offer.  You can't mess it.  It is all gorgeous.

In my experience, the clothing seems to run a little bigger than some other stores.  I bought my 22-month old some dresses from there last year that were 12 months and they look like they will just fit her now.  Then again, she is petite.  They run similar to the "baby girl" sized clothing at Gymboree (which is the same company), so you can use that as a guide.

I really love this set.  I try to buy my daughter's clothing as a set, with a cardigan to go along with everything because we live near the ocean and the temperature drops here at night.  I also like anything that is smocked or fitted in the bodice and has bows on or as the sleeves.  And while I do love pink and purple, too, sometimes it is nice to find feminine and beautiful clothes to add to a baby girl's wardrobe that has some color variety.

The entire set is available at Janie and Jack as part of their Seaside Glamour collection.

The Stripe Linen Blend Dress is available from size 3-6 months up to size 12.

The Ruffle Crop Cardigan is available from size 3-6 months up to size 12.

The Linen Bow Barrette is sold one per set.

The Patent Leather Strappy Sandal is available from size 4 through 5K.

A cute little lunch set for a little price.

If you loved the tea party and cupcake stand set I posted on Friday, you need to check out the My Little Lunch 18-Piece Set over at Hearthsong!

Another beautiful wooden set that matches and compliment's Hearthsong's play food series.  This one includes a kettle (which you don't often see in toys, especially made of wood) that reminds me of having afternoon tea with my grandmother when I was a little girl.

This set is a lunch for two, and it includes a wooden table, two plates, two spoons, two forks, two cups, two sandwiches, two strawberries, two cloth napkins, an apple, a bottle of milk and an orange.

As with any set of play food, know your child and properly supervise.  This set is for ages 3 and up (the strawberries are small), but if your child still puts play food in their mouth you should use discretion with letting them play with painted wooden food without supervision.  Kids can chew the paint off, and even if the paint is non-toxic, no one really wants their kid eating paint.  So just make sure you know your child and if they are a little young or aren't quite developmentally *there* yet to be responsible with it, you can always set this aside as a special toy they only play with when you can play along with them and give them your full attention.

This is the perfect time to pick up this set, even if you set it aside for a future gift (I do that frequently when I see a good sale).  This set normally retails for $39.98, but you can get it right now for $14.99!  What a steal!

Your little mermaid will look tutu cute in this!

I love any shirt that has a tutu attached to it.  My daughter feels that no outfit is complete without a tutu, and this makes it easier for mommy because I can find everything I need at once!

Lime and turquoise feel like summer and swimming, and this set is stylish while still being relaxed and comfortable.  It is perfect for a summer lunch or even to throw on over your little girl's bathing suit without looking like just a cover up.

The tutu part has silver sparkles for a shimmery mermaid look that will sparkle in the sun.

The dress is made by Rare Editions, and the top is 95% cotton and 5% spandex.  The tutu is 100% polyester.  As with most tutu dresses, you should probably hand was this one.

The flip flops are Kate Mack and available at The Best Dressed Child.

The flower sun hat is 100% cotton and available at eCrater.

Happy shopping, friends!

I mustache you a question. Aren't these incog-neato?

My kids love to play dress up, and who doesn't love a good mustache?  These mustaches will compliment any play wardrobe and will make your child the most awesome kid at the grocery store.

I am partial to the Grey Colonel Moustache, but my kids think they are all fantastic and I can't blame them.

If you are looking for a toy that will make both you and your children smile, I highly recommend these.  I dare you not to put one on and talk in a funny voice.  It is pretty much impossible.

These would make great birthday party favors or even stocking stuffers or fillers for Easter baskets.

I also think these mustaches would be nice photography props and could be a catalyst for some hilarious pictures!

There is a part of me that wishes I had a full set of these for parties during my pre-motherhood days!

You can find all seven Incog-Neato Moustaches at Land of Nod for $6.95 each.

A tree house bed for your lofty little dreamer.

I spent almost twenty years of my life sleeping on a loft bed.  Even at college, I found that I really loved sleeping up in the sky and having all of the extra floor space beneath me to use for other things.  That area has been home for couches and desks... and when I was young it was an excellent fort.

This bed is gorgeous and so much nicer than any loft bed I ever had.  The house look and feel to it inspires imaginative play.  I also like that it is enclosed just enough to make you feel snuggly and safe and not claustrophobic.  You also don't have to worry about rolling out or stuffed animals and lovies falling from the sky in the middle of the night.

What is fantastic about this piece is it comes in a variety of colors, and how you choose to style it will completely change the feel.  It is up to you whether you want a cozy cottage or a secret tree house in your child's bedroom.  And, of course, the feel can be changed just with a swap of accessories.

I am partial to white furniture, and I like the beach shack look that was created here.

You can find this Treehouse Bed at Pottery Barn Kids.

Picture perfect sister set.

I love sister sets.  I prefer for them to compliment each other - not be an exact match - and this pairing from Garnet Hill accomplishes that with ease.

The dresses come in either Peach Blossom (pictured) or Red Blossom, which is also beautiful.  The amount of detail in these is impressive.  The embroidery work is beautiful.  They are perfect for attending a wedding or family reunion or any other summer event.  There is cohesion without things being too matchy matchy or cheesy.

These dresses are a perfect "grandma gift."  If you are looking to spoil your granddaughter's (or daughter or daughter-in-law) with a beautiful set of dresses, this is an excellent choice.  Complete the gift with a gift certificate for a professional photo session!  You will have gorgeous, timeless pictures to cherish forever.

The dress pictured on the left is the Flutter-Sleeve Dress by Moxie and Mabel and it comes in sizes 12m - size 4.

The older sister dress pictured on the right is the Butterfly Fantasia Dress by by Moxie and Mabel and it comes in sizes 2 - 12.

Anchors away!

I have always loved carousels and that passion has transferred over to cool rockers.  While I have a soft spot for rocking horses with a Victorian look, I get excited when I come across something unique and beautifully crafted.

This rocking boat has a retro feel to it, and is heirloom quality.  It is a toy that can be passed through the family as one generation out grows it and a new one is born.  This rocker has a longer appeal, I think, than some of the other options out there.  My son is nearly four and would still love to have a boat to ride in.  While it might be a short amusement for an infant, this toy will become a centerpiece for imaginative play as they enter the toddler and preschool years.

Just imagine the gorgeous pictures you can get with this rocker!  It would be a wonderful prop for a photography studio!

This rocker is available at PoshTots, an upscale children's retailer that has been featured on HGTV.

A fairy for all seasons.

A fairy, a pet, and a beautiful little fairy house... one for each season!

We do not own any of these, but I wish we did!  I fell in love with them instantly as I was browsing for toys.  My daughter is still too young for these, but I have them book marked in my "someday" folder.

I'll admit that I want to buy them all, but I think my favorites are spring (top left) and summer (bottom right).  My favorite color is green, so that probably explains why I am partial.  That and I am tired of this cold weather!

I think these would go nicely with some Schleich unicorns and forest creatures.  A family of deer would be a nice addition to one of the sets.

These are a Magic Cabin exclusive, and you can pick your favorite fairy house on their website.

Cool set for your little skater boy.

I learned when my son was fairly young that I just don't go for cutesy little boy clothes. Maybe for a little while when they are a newborn, but when they are a toddler or preschooler I tend to go for the "big boy" sets.

I was really excited the first time I saw that Target had started carrying a Shaun White collection for sizes 2T - 5T.  I had been eyeing the clothing in the Boys section for a while and had lamented to my husband how they looked like nice, cool clothes and I wish they had them for the smaller kids.

It appears to be a new thing, and it may be popular, because I haven't seen anything from this collection at my local Target.  We stop in at one about a half hour away when we are in that area to check these out.  Even then, they are pretty picked over.  From now on, I plan to buy them online so I can get the colors and sizes I want.

Once again, Target has done well.  These clothes look like they were made by Billabong or Quicksilver, except they are a fraction of the price.  The taste level at Target has been continuing to impress me lately.  Their homegoods and baby products are really nice and affordable.  And they don't look cheap!

Plus, I have to admit, green and black is probably my favorite color combination.

An afforable crowd pleaser for your candy girl!

We purchased this set for our daughter at Target recently.  She loves it as much as I do, which is always a good thing!  The T-shirt may run a bit small, so you might want to consider buying a size up.  My daughter is a petite 22-month-old and the 2T fits her perfectly.

I have included links to similar shoes that run the range of sizes.  The only difference with them is that there is one less strap on the larger sized sandals.

Additionally, if your child is too big for a head wrap, I have included a link to a white floral headband that also matches this set.

Every piece of this set is low priced and it does NOT show!

Sweet treats for babies!

Here is a sweet treat you can give to your baby that won't result in a sugar high!

We received a gift card to The Land of Nod when I was pregnant with our first child.  We ended up saving it and using it for toy shopping after our son was born (we didn't buy many toys when I was pregnant or register for them).  What a great place to buy toys!

Even though I don't have much of a sweet tooth, I think sweets are cute.  So even though my children only have sugar in moderation, they have plenty of toys that are very sweet.

This toy was one of the first.  I loved it from the moment I saw it.  Any time you put a smiley face on food, you pretty much have me in your pocket.  But the fact that they are crocheted and not plastic and they have the look and feel of being hand made - sold!

Both of my kids loved these toys.  They don't rattle or have anything inside them, but it never seemed to matter.  They are now close to four and two, and while I've tried to put these away as "baby toys" several times, they pull them right back out and keep on playing with them.  I can't really blame them.  They are adorable after all.

These are just the right size to fit in an infant's hand, and cute and colorful enough enough that they keep them entertained as toddlers and preschoolers.  They have held up through two children and are washable.

This is a good time to buy them, you'll get all three for less than $10!  You can't even find three cheapy plastic baby toys for a price like that!  Find the set of three Dessert Groupies at The Land of Nod.

Adorable and affordable felt bunnies

Nothing makes me happier than when I come across a product I instantly love and then look at the price and find out it is completely within our budget.

That was my reaction when I first came across Magic Cabin's "The Rabbit Hutch."

The hutch is made of solid pine and the bunnies are made in Germany with 100% wool felt.  Every inch of this toy has the handmade, unique touches that make a toy seem timeless and special.

Please note that only one bunny is included in the set, but you get to pick your color and are able to order additional bunnies either individually or as part of a package.

All three have become popular in our home as our children are fan's of Nick Jr.'s Peter Rabbit.  They pretend the light brown rabbit is Peter, the dark brown rabbit is Benjamin and the white rabbit is Lily.

The manufacturer recommends this toy for ages three and up.  I let my daughter who is just under two-years-old play with this under my supervision.  It is a nice feature that the eyes are stitched on and are not beads.

We'll have the perfect cup of tea!

There are few activities my daughter enjoys more than having a tea party.  She and my son sit nicely together and love to serve each other and their stuffed animals and dolls.   Any toy that can keep both kids occupied - together - is a true blessing to have around the house!

While she isn’t quite ready to try Mommy’s tea, there are plenty of tea sets available that are suitable for all different ages.

This wooden set is perfect for a 3-year-old that is no longer putting things in their mouth and understands that pretend food is for make believe.

We love that it comes with a vase and flowers for creating a pretty tablescape! It is never too early to start being fabulous.

This tea set goes perfectly with the wooden cupcake stand that is absolutely adorable and includes petit fours along with other pretend sweets.

I love that both sets are made of wood and have a timeless look to them.  One of my hobbies is photography and I have found that toys like these make for better "props" in pictures.  You can get some lovely amateur shots of your child playing with this in dress up clothes, grandma's pearls and an over sized hat.

You can find the tea set and the cupcake stand at HearthSong.

She'll have a whale of a good time in this set!

It can be easy to end up with a wardrobe heavy on the pink and purple when you're a baby girl, which is all the more reason that mommy needs to be on alert for adorable clothes in all the colors of the rainbow.

I love this set from Gymboree.  It is from the newborn girls "Bubbly Whale" line in sizes from 0-3 months up to 18-24 months.  Clothing from the newborn line seems to run slightly smaller in our experience than the clothing of the same "size" in the baby girl section.

This dress is similar to one I bought for my daughter for last summer that she wore at least once a week.  The material is soft and forgiving of long car seat rides that can wrinkle a pretty dress.  It kept her cool and stylish.  I think this outfit is fine for an everyday look, but it also would be great for going out to dinner - especially after a day at the beach while you are on vacation.

Please note that the shoes included with this set are crib shoes and would not be appropriate for an older baby that is a walker.  For an older baby, I recommend the white Gem Flower sandals. We bought several pairs of this style shoe from Gymboree last year and they held up all summer and were comfortable for our daughter.  I recommend getting a pair of these in white, they will go with anything and are easily dressed up or down depending on the outfit your baby girl wears them with.

The outfit featured in Sadie's Chic Web Boutique's picture includes:

The Whale Stripe Seersucker Dress

The Embroidered Dot Cardigan

The Dot Espadrille Crib Shoes

The Bow Dot Fruffle (Hair Band)
