I spend a lot of time researching and comparison shopping when it comes to the toys we buy for our children and as gifts. The biggest (literally) buying regret that I have was on our play kitchen. I was on the fence between a wooden kitchen that was smaller in size and a plastic kitchen that was bigger and had more bells and whistles. Since we have two young children that are close in age and I knew they were going to be playing with it at the same time, I decided to go with the larger sized, plastic kitchen. I also thought they might be impressed that it made sounds and lit up. They weren't.
Granted, they play with it every single day, and it is clearly one of their favorite toys. But, it is sort of an eyesore in my living room and it isn't very well made. It takes the full force of mommy or daddy to open and close the microwave, the drawers are not attached and just get pulled out and tossed onto the floor, there is almost no counter space and the counter is separated from the back of the kitchen and little plastic tomatoes and slices of cheese fall down the back. Oh, if I had it to do over...
Seeing this adorable Enchanted Forest Play Kitchen made those pangs of regret resurface. It is beautiful. It is so unique. I have never seen anything like this in anyone's house before. I know if my kids came across it, they would be enchanted by it's charm. This would be an excellent toy to have at grandma's house that all the grandchildren would love. It really is something special, and the kids would know it.
The Enchanted Forest Play Kitchen is available at Chasing Fireflies.
Happy shopping, friends!
